SONG WORKSHOP
Traditional Brazilian/Afro-Brazilian Song & Rhythms
Join us for an evening of beautiful songs accompanied by our Hand Drumming group.
Singing is a great energiser for the body and brain, helping to improve focus, reduce stress, boost mood and support general well-being.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
- A relaxed and friendly evening of Brazilian & Afro-Brazilian Song for all levels of singing and musical experience.
- This workshop is taught by our main percussion & dance teacher, Mika.
- We'll cover a range of styles and build up beautiful melodies in parts.
- As well as singing, we'll learn some accompanying rhythms through clapping and drum sticks.
- We'll be accompanied by members of our hand drumming group, so there'll be a beautiful full sound to our songs.
- The aim is to provide you with the opportunity to enjoy making music together and get all those brain and body benefits of singing!
VENUE
- King Street Studios, King St, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST51EJ (down from the New Vic Theatre).
- Free on-street parking on King St and surrounding streets.
