Brazilian music, dance and carnival craft activities for all
ART BRASIL is pleased to present a celebration of community through Brazilian carnival arts.

With funding from the Big Lottery Celebrate Fund, we delivered 5 events/projects over 2017 to bring all ages together through music, dance and carnival crafts.
WHAT DID WE DO & WHY?
We delivered a programme events over the year offering workshops in Brazilian drumming, dance, capoeira, and carnival crafts. As part of the programme we held 3 open days where people of all ages could attend and take part in workshops. In addition we delivered some short term projects which worked towards 2 sharing events where participants showcased what they had learned for family, friends and members of the public to enjoy.
The aims of the project were to;
- provide opportunities for members of the community to get to know each other better and make new friends.
- provide activities where younger and older people can take part together.
- reach out to all members of the community and bring them together through accessible activities.
- increase cultural awareness, respect an understanding.
